Diesel Mechanic in Huntington Beach, California

Job Description:

Shift: M-F 2:30pm - 11pm

Pay: $24.34 per hour


Diesel Mechanic Summary: Mechanic is responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of the company’s of fleet diesel equipment. This position requires a working knowledge related to installation, replacement, and repair of onboard computers (XRS) and/or cameras (Drive Cam).


Diesel Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance of fleet diesel equipment.
  • Perform minor repairs of fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units).
  • Perform thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure equipment has required licensing and registration prior to being deemed as "roadworthy". 
  • Work in a safe manner, per company, local, state and federal policies and regulations.
  • Install, replace, and repair onboard computers (XRS) and/or cameras (Drive Cam).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist in training other employees.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Qualified Candidates For The Diesel Mechanic Position Will Have Met The Following:


  • High school diploma or GED & a minimum of 1 year related experience.
  • Must possess valid Driver's License to operate applicable company vehicles
  • Must pass a post-offer background and drug test.
  • Must possess own tools.


  • ASE Certifications.
  • Trade school diploma or certification.
  • Commercial Driver's License.

Working Conditions:

  • Shop, office, yard, vehicle environment, may be require frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds.
