Experienced Tractor / Trailer Techs are needed perform the following functions for our client in Laredo, TX:
Shift(s):
8pm - 8am (1 on each shift); will work 3.5 days on and 3.5 days off
Sun, Mon, Tues 1/2 day Wed (1 opening)
1/2 day Wed,Thurs, Fri, Sat (1 opening)
Looking for seasoned tractor mechanics, trailer mechanics or heavy duty diesel technicians as long as they are seasoned.
Responsibilities:- Troubleshoot and repair tractors, trailers, and electrical components
- Build repair orders and assign jobs to technicians
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections of tractor components and perform all required running repairs, including A/C. and engine diagnosis
- Executes and guides helps employees understanding in safe and correct ways to maintain, repair, and conduct preventative maintenance on fleet equipment.
- Ensures tools, items and supplies required for performing repairs on fleet equipment are available and in proper working order.
- Supervise employees in area of responsibility by assigning duties and coordinating workloads, monitoring individual and team performance, and providing feedback; teaching, supporting and modeling company policies and procedures. Identifying training and developmental needs, and participating in teaching and evaluation of employees.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Shop Manager.
Job Requirements
Qualified Candidates For Diesel Technician/Mechanic Position Will Have The Following Education/Experience:
- Required:
- 5-7 years actual truck-trailer experience.
- Brake and Inspector qualified under FMCSR sections 396.25 (Brake) and 396.19 (Inspector).
- EPA 609 (MVAC) AirConditioning Certificate
- Preferred:
- CDL
- ASE Certification
Working Conditions:
- Shop, office, yard, vehicle environment, may require lifting of 20 to 50 lbs., at least once a day.
