Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic Job in Imperial, Pennsylvania

Temp to Permanent:
Shift: M-F 8AM - 4:30 PM - But will be on call while when landfil is open (midnight to 3PM Mon thru Fri and on Sat from 6 AM - 10 AM)

• "We really need someone with HEAVY EQUIPMENT Maintenance experience...not a PM guy."  Excavators / Compactors / Conveyors
• Performs repairs and maintenance on electric, diesel and gasoline vehicles / equipment including compactor, excavator, and other vehicles & equipment to maximize safe and productive operations.
• Typical repairs include, but are not limited to, routine maintenance and repair of engines, transmissions, chassis, driveline, and body components, hydraulic systems, brake systems, electrical systems, suspension systems, wheels, tires and undercarriages.
• Also Performs preventive maintenance and equipment upgrades. Reads and interprets equipment condition reports and/or repair orders, communicates with supervisor and/or operator for clarification of problems and discusses preventive techniques with operators to minimize future repairs.

Responsibilities:

• Performing Preventative Maintenance
• Conduct fuel and electrical diagnostics with limited supervision.
• Complete most repairs and parts replacements.
• Accurately complete written record of work performed.
• Communicate with Drivers and make appropriate repairs.
• Maintain a clean work and shop area as directed.
