- Description:
Experienced Diesel Technicians/Mechanics are needed to perform maintenance work on a Fleet of Extensive Diesel Engine Trucks and/or Forklifts, consisting of mostly preventative maintenance: transmissions, air/hydraulic brakes etc., and other projects assigned by the shop manager.
Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for repairs and required preventive maintenance of trucks and/or forklifts
Inspects, trouble shoots, diagnoses and performs maintenance on equipment
Performs safety inspections of equipment and prepares safety documents required by DOT, company and any other Federal, State or Local regulations
Interprets work orders and technical manuals
Repairs or replaces defective parts, components or systems
Tests repaired equipment for proper performance and ensures that the work meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations
Perform other duties as assigned by the Shop Manager

- Requirements:
- 1 year of mechanic experience and/or completion of trade school is required; A valid CDL is a plus, but not required; Must be able to use hand tools and test equipment; Must provide a basic set of tools; Must be at least 18 years of age or older; High School Diploma or Equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required; Must possess a valid clear drivers license.
