      • Experienced Diesel Technicians/Mechanics are needed to perform maintenance work on a Fleet of Alternative Fuel, Diesel and/or Gasoline Refuse Trucks, consisting of mostly preventative maintenance: transmissions, air/hydraulic brakes etc., and other projects assigned by the shop manager.
        Position Responsibilities:
        Performs repairs and maintenance on alternative fuel, diesel and/or gasoline trucks including front-end loader, roll off, and other vehicles to maximize safe and productive operations
        Road tests vehicles to diagnose problems and/or test repairs
        Diagnoses mechanical problems on suspension, brake system, electrical system, hydraulic system, drive train, engine and transmission
        Diagnoses and repairs tires
        Typical repairs include, but are not limited to, maintenance and repair of engines, chassis, driveline, body components, hydraulic systems, brake systems, electrical systems, suspension systems, wheels, and tires.
        Road tests vehicles to diagnose problems and/or test repairs
        Overhauls gas or diesel engines.

        Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the shop manager.

      • Requirements:
      • Qualified Candidates Will Have One Of The Following: (1) A High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of related truck or heavy equipment maintenance; OR (2) 6 years of related truck or heavy equipment maintenance experience; A Valid Class A or B CDL is required OR Must be able to obtain a Class A or B CDL; DOT Qualifications including Brake Maintenance and Inspections, and Annual Vehicle Inspections are required; Mechanical or Trade School Certificate is preferred; Certificate in electronic diagnostics is preferred; ASE Certificate(s) are preferred, but not required; Welding and/or fabrication skills and/or experience is preferred.

      • Experienced Diesel Technicians/Mechanics are needed to perform maintenance work on a Fleet of Extensive Diesel Engine Heavy Duty Trucks, Cars, and Trailers, consisting of mostly preventative maintenance: transmissions, air/hydraulic brakes etc., and other projects assigned by the shop manager.
        Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
        Greet customers in a prompt, friendly manner.
        Change oil on trucks and cars.
        Grease trucks and trailers.
        Change and repair truck or car tires.
        Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems on trucks and trailers.
        Perform light mechanical work on trucks and cars (alternators, belts, starters, bearings, wheel seals, water pumps, exhaust, etc.).
        Perform brake work on trucks.
        Perform A/C repairs on trucks and cars.
        Maintenance welding.
        Sell tires and parts, ensuring profit margins are maintained and trade guidelines are followed.
        Perform service calls.
        Complete work orders by providing the necessary customer information, labor performed, parts used, and any other information for warranty purposes.

        All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

      • 3+ years of heavy duty diesel maintenance experience is required; Certificates, Licenses and Registrations are required; Must provide a basic set of tools; Must possess a valid clear drivers license and be insurable to drive.

      • 3 years of mechanic experience is required; A valid CDL is preferred; Must provide a basic set of hand tools; Must possess a valid clear driver's license; Must be 21 years of age or older.
