        Greet customers in a prompt, friendly manner.
        Change oil on trucks and cars.
        Grease trucks and trailers.
        Change and repair truck or car tires
        Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems on trucks and trailers.
        Perform light mechanical work on trucks and cars (alternators, belts, starters, bearings, wheel seals, water pumps, exhaust, etc.).
        Perform brake work on trucks.
        Perform A/C repairs on trucks and cars.
        Maintenance and welding duties
        Sell tires and parts, ensuring profit margins are maintained and trade guidelines are followed.
        Perform service calls.
        All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
      • Requirements:
      • 3+ years of heavy duty diesel maintenance experience is required; Must possess a valid clear drivers license and be insurable to drive.

        Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

        Greet customers in a prompt, friendly manner.

        Change oil on trucks and cars.

        Grease trucks and trailers.

        Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems on trucks and trailers.

      • Qualified Candidates Will Have ONE of the Following: (1) An Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a 2 year College or Technical School; (2) Six months to one year of related experience and/or training; OR (3) Equivalent combination of education and experience; Must have working knowledge of heavy duty vehicles; Knowledge of Order Processing Systems required; ASE Certifications will be available/required after employment; Must provide a basic set of tools; Must possess a valid clear driver's license.

        Sales Associate Position Job Description:

        • Properly greet customers and determine if shop can fulfill their requests or needs by performing the following duties.
        • Greet customers in a prompt, friendly manner.
        • Obtain all purchase orders prior to finalizing repair order.
        • Obtain approval from customers/companies prior to writing repair orders, and when additional work is needed for current repairs or when estimates will be exceeded by more than 10% of the total.
        • Provide accurate estimates and wait times.
        • Identify work required and then write detailed description of work required.
        • Assign work to all technicians within the company guidelines
        • Maintain organizational control of work in progress and work waiting to be done.
        • Ensure replacement parts are essential for needed repairs.
        • Complete work orders by providing the necessary customer information, job description, labor, parts used, and any other additional notes.
        • Identify and prevent possible warranty situations through consultation of Senior Management and documentation on repair orders.
        • Document all disclaimers on repair orders to avoid warranty claims.
        • Report all unresolved customer complaints to Manager.
        • Ensure completed shop tickets are properly billed and collected after work is performed.
        • Develop communication with customers to identify their needs or concerns, and also to sell additional products and/or services.
        • Order all parts and supplies as directed by the Manager.
        • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the parts area.
        • Maintain all inventory part levels and inventory dollars as set forth by the Division Manager.
        • Control all aspects of parts and supplies (receiving, pricing, storing, etc.).
        • Responsible for National Account billing and receivables. Ensure total customer satisfaction and the integrity of the company.
        • Balance and organize shift paperwork in a timely manner.
        • Responsible for your cash register shortages.
        • All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
        • Conduct fuel and electrical diagnostics with limited supervision.
        • Complete most repairs and parts replacements.
        • Accurately complete written record of work performed.
        • Communicate with Drivers regarding “Vehicle Condition Reports" and make appropriate repairs.
        • Maintain a clean work and shop area as directed.
        • Other duties may be assigned.
         
      • Requirements:
      • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software; Must have valid driver's license and be insurable to drive; Must be able to work weekends, holidays, or any shift as needed
