Position Responsibilities:
Looking for seasoned skilled diesel technicians / equipment techs / heavy line technicians, to work on the city of Davie, FL government vehicles which include: Dump trucks, sweepers, fire equipment, backhoes, loaders, tractors, and large lawn mowers & equipment. Routine maintenance as well as preventative maintenance on this large fleet of vehicles and light equipment. The candidate must have truck or equipment maintenance experience to be considered. (2-3 years experience is requested)
An applipcant with an EVT (Emergency Vehicle Technician) would be exceptional.
Pay: (Depends on Experience) someone with a current CDL would garner more than someone that does not have any certification or license. Range based on their level of expreience and certifications.
Shift: M-F 7AM-4PM or 8AM-5PM
First 2 Days On Job - would be for orientation and safety training

- Requirements:
- 2+ years of heavy maintenance experience is required; A valid CDL is preferred, but not required (Must have the ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment); ASE Certification in diesel trucks is required; A High School Diploma or GED is required; Must possess a valid driver's license; Must provide a basic set of tools; Must provide your own pair of steel toe boots.

Diesel Technician/Mechanic Position Job Description:Perform Preventative Maintenance on dump trucks, sweepers, fire equipment, backhoes, loaders, tractors, and large lawn mowers & equipment.Conduct fuel and electrical diagnostics with limited supervision.Complete most repairs and parts replacements.Accurately complete written record of work performed.Communicate with Drivers regarding “Vehicle Condition Reports" and make appropriate repairs.Maintain a clean work and shop area as directed.Other duties may be assigned.
